Im new to VPS hosting. I need a linux hosting with php and mysql.
I will not be including CPanel in my hosting. Can I manage or do I have to struggle ?
Can anyone give me a link on how VPS hosting will look like for Linux ?

Why would you not want to have cPanel on your VPS? cPanel gives you easy access to all the functions of your server without having to understand the command line.
VPS hosting is like living in a condo. While there’s many users under a roof you have your own resources to use. It’s different from shared hosting, as shared hosting is like living in an apartment. You’ll be sharing the “roof” as well as all the resources as well.

A linux hosting with no control panel is all about command line window. I would suggest you get a control panel even some free ones like ISPconfig or webmin

Well, if you have enough money, even you can put cPanel in your linux, although you will have to pay certain amount for cPanel every month and for most of the people its pretty expensive as its like around 16$/month.
Although their are alternative to the cPanel too i.e Kloxx Panel, its similar to cPanel although certain features are slight less and different UI.
