I would like to set up a personal wiki to organize some of my thoghts and information. I am a subscriber to Yahoo’s basic web hosting plan. This service does not include SSH access to the web servers. Instead, Yahoo mostly allows FTP access, mySQL setup, and limited PHP scripting.
Some wiki’s are supposed to be lightweight and easy to install, requiring only basic PHP/mySQL setup. Is it possible to run and manage one of these using Yahoo’s basic web hosting solution, and if so, which one would you recommend?
Chosen Answer:
I doubt they would, I’d go for a host such as
http://www.hostmonsterplus.com
It comes with a 1 click wiki installer and just fill in a few empty boxes.
Really easy. ^_^

Hostgator is Excellent web hosting company, 100% uptime, fast support team, fast servers, cPanel, the price is just right and better than other companies. Needless to say I have contacted them on a number of occasions and I never have to wait. I am planning to switch to their dedicated servers now.
