Simple Question about Linux Web Hosting?

Does my computer have to run on Linux in order to manage a website that uses the Linux OS?

If you are hosting the website on your own computer then yes. If it is hosted some place else, such as Yahoo Small Business, then no.

    No not all, for instance My PC through which i control my site which was hosted on Linux hosting with http://www.thewebpole.com/ runs on Windows 7
